Hale: The firm that built the lift drive. Riveted, overbuilt and proud of it.

Dr Imogen Hale built the lift drive in 2092 to float freight off the ruined roads, and every craft on the Grid still flies on a drive descended from hers. Hale builds heavies the way it built haulers: riveted, overbuilt, unglamorous. NULL keeps offering to buy the firm, and Hale keeps saying no in public.
